They mustn't carry out their evil deeds.

" I said 'Stay sane inside insanity' , but he locked the door and threw away the key."

Okay, we're playing the "picture this" game again.
   Picture this:

My mental stability is a tightrope walker. He's just barely staying sane. My sanity is the rope. The rope is shredding at one end, but my mental stability doesn't know that. Another thing mental stability was left out of was knowing there's no net underneath the fraying, soon-to-be lethal rope. When that rope snaps it's a pencil dive straight into insanity. Plus, the tightrope walker isn't going to look down, so he doesn't even see the abrupt trip to crazy town until the train's leaving the station. So, why on earth would he look down? His whole life's training was to teach him not to look down, because if you're always looking up, you're safe right? Wrong, because no matter how much he looks up, or thinks positively, it's not going to put that rope back together, it's not going to magically make a net appear. The only thing wishful thinking can guarantee is confused delirium.

Confused delirium and insanity.
